Beyond the Roof – Building Futures
Divine Glory Ministries is honored to serve beyond borders by meeting urgent needs in Lagos, Nigeria. One of our current missions is to support Light City Academy, a secondary school located in an under-resourced and impoverished area. Many of the students attending this school are experiencing homelessness or unstable living conditions, yet they arrive daily filled with determination and a hope for a brighter future.
Light City Academy is more than just a place of learning—it is a safe haven, offering stability, love, and protection to children who have little else. During a recent visit, Apostle Melinda and Minister Tiffany witnessed firsthand the depth of the need and the remarkable resilience of the students and staff.
Every March, the rainy season begins in Lagos, bringing with it devastating flooding and severe building damage, particularly from a leaking and failing roof. These conditions disrupt classes, endanger children, and destroy learning materials. By the grace of God, Divine Glory Ministries has committed not only to replacing the school’s roof but also to becoming a Covenant Advocate—a dedicated partner committed to lasting protection, provision, and transformation.
As a Covenant Advocate, we pledge to use every resource entrusted to us to ensure that the basic needs of our covenant partners at Light City Academy are met. This role goes beyond giving—it means standing in the gap, being a consistent voice on their behalf, and compelling others to sow into this mission. We believe in advocating not just with words, but with action—working tirelessly to see their lives, learning environment, and future radically changed for the better.
A Need For Partnership!
But the needs go deeper. Our Vision is to help the work in Lagos, Nigeria. By expanding our partnership with Light City Academy to help them rise from surviving to thriving. We are actively seeking sponsors and kingdom partners to come alongside us to meet the following critical needs:
Immediate Needs:
• Roof Repair – To prevent flooding and preserve a safe environment.
• Teacher Salaries – To retain and honor committed educators.
• Desks and Seating – Many students currently sit on the floor.
• Whiteboards and Teaching Tools – To improve instructional quality.
• Nutritious Daily Meals – Many children arrive hungry and malnourished.
Additional Needs:
• Clean Drinking Water System – To reduce sickness and improve focus.
• School Uniforms and Shoes – Many children wear torn or no shoes.
• Learning Materials & Textbooks – To give every student a chance to succeed.
• Sanitation Facilities – To provide clean, dignified restrooms.
• After-School Mentorship & Discipleship Programs – To support emotional and spiritual growth.
• Electricity and Solar Power – To allow for evening learning and safety at night.
Our goal is not only to renovate a building but to restore dignity, empower education, and rebuild futures. We invite churches, businesses, and compassionate individuals to partner with us as monthly sponsors or one-time givers. Your investment will have an eternal impact.

2027 Light City Academy Missionary Trip
